For those of you who are regular readers of my blog, you know I’m a cat Mom. My little guy is a huge part of my life. I have a weakness for animals … I just love them! When I heard Paris had a cat cafe, it immediately made my list of top things to do.
The cafe is home to 12 cats. All of them were rescue adoptions. The cafe and the staff provide a safe environment for the furry felines, along with fresh food and water and lots of attention.
I originally thought the cafe was more along the lines of a coffee shop, but in addition to coffee and tea you can order lunch such as salads and quiches, and on the weekends they offer a nice brunch.
So just how does a cat cafe work you might be wondering. I’ll explain …
When you first arrive you’ll be greeted at the door. This little one was in charge of the guest book.
Before you enter the main area, you’ll be asked to sanitize your hands. I really liked that they required this because it helps to cut down on germs being transferred to any of the furry felines if you decide to pet them. You’ll also be advised not to feed the cats or bother them if they are sleeping. Also, photos are okay, but without the flash.
As you make your way to your table, you’ll probably see lots of cuties. This little guy was getting a little fresh air while lounging by the open window.
And this little guy was tuckered out after playing.
You’ll place your order with your server. Since I came later in the afternoon, I opted to have tea. My server brought me a complimentary fresh baked chocolate chip cookie, which I thought was really nice.
The furry staff will stop by to check and make sure you are enjoying everything.
And if you need anything, the furry staff is very attentive and will only be a table away …
This little guy curled up in the cabinet for an afternoon nap, but when I arrived he was sitting in a visitor’s lap giving her lots of cuddles while she ate her lunch.
There will also be someone there to help you checkout when you are ready to pay your bill. This little one’s job was to man the cash register.
And as you leave to go about your day, they’ll be sure to leave you with a smile.
I really loved the afternoon at the cat cafe. I couldn’t help but smile and giggle the whole time I was there. If you’re looking to try something different, need a mood booster or just want to score a few cuddles, I definitely recommend a visit to the cat cafe in Paris. It’ll be a purrrfect afternoon!
